Our Mission

 NMTC-NO is committed to educating and equipping adults who are prepared to guide children through an authentic Montessori educational experience. We strive to maintain consistency with the philosophy and practices of the American Montessori Society (AMS) and the current research-based practices of instruction and learning. The goal of Montessori education, as stated in the key concepts and practices of the American Montessori Society, is preparing persons to be independent, competent, responsible and caring citizens who are lifelong learners.
 Our Services
 NMTC-NO provides...

  • teacher education for adult learners through participation in MACTE accredited early childhood and elementary I courses
  • education about and advocacy of Montessori education through workshops and consulting
  • professional development/continuing education including resources and services to improve professional practice


We are affiliated with the American Montessori Society (AMS), 116 East 16th Street, NY, NY 10003 and accredited by the Montessori Accreditation Council for Teacher Education (MACTE), 420 Park Street, Charlottesville, VA 22902, 262-898-1846
